Restarting the trend of upscale nightlife on South Beach, Opium Garden set the standard for the A-list social scene.
One of the first projects by the team from the now-ubiquitous Opium Group, Opium Garden boasts one of the few outdoor areas left on South Beach.
Taking design cues from the Far East, the visitor is magically transported from the Miami area to the exotic locales of Asia and the Orient. Throughout the venue, resplendent statues of the Buddha keep watch over the elegant crowd, while a centerpiece modern-art statue surrounded by a fountain and automated lighting casting washes of color over the audience.
Each week, the venue plays host to not only the local A-list, but a cadre of celebrities as well, many of whom choose to partake in the fresh air atmosphere as a respite from the chaos of the surrounding beach.
Open until 5 AM most nights of the week, Opium Garden is one of the unique gems of the South Beach nightlife scene. |
