Automatic Slims, where the beautiful people come to get ugly, is something a little different for South Beach. But then again, Slims is a little different to say the least. Slim's is the 2002 brainchild of a dream team of operators
that wanted to bring something new and exciting to the South Beach scene. Automatic Slims was an Automatic?
success and after one year of opening spawned a second franchise location in Fort Lauderdales River Walk. This February, Slims will open a new rockin spot in Orlando. Automatic Slims is also planning to open locations
in Tampa, Chicago, and Las Vegas!
The design, by Andy Kostas, was heavily inspired by the googie style that defined bowling alley architecture and signage of the 1950s. The bars dacor, the food, and the “fun at all costs attitude has had people standing up and taking notice since the opening night. The press has been no exception. Glowing reviews from OCEAN DRIVE MAGAZINE, THE MIAMI NEW TIMES, THE SUN POST, EGO TRIP MAGAZINE, THE MIAMI HERALD, THE MIAMI HURRICANE, and ELITE TRAVELER all praise Slims for bringing the experience to their readers.
Print media aren't the only ones who have given Automatic Slims props- the camera loves them too. Local
news spots including the ever popular DECO DRIVE, E’S WILD ON, A & Es CITY CONFIDENTIAL and MTV have all featured Slims wild and crazy parties.
